Pictured below is a women harvesting spaghetti from the spaghetti tree.
All the way back on April 1st 1957 the BBC reported on the spaghetti tree but it was proved to be all but a simple April Fool’s joke but unknowingly to the public the U.S board of agriculture was developing a spaghetti tree and planed to release its seeds on the same day as the BBC broadcast. The United States not wanting to be made fun of by the Soviets had cancelled the project, but was soon brought back into development in the early stages of the Ukraine war in February 2022. The old version of the plant was improved using genetic engineering which allowed for faster growth to feed the fleeing citizens of the Ukrainian cities.
A Ukrainian woman said “This tastes like shit but it’s better than starving to death”
A scientist gave a statement to reporters
”There has been a problem with the spaghetti causing diarrhea in people who are allergic to oranges but other than that we’ve had no issuses with the plant”
